Hi,
I just put another pre-release of 1.4.0 on
http://www.cs.bgu.ac.il/~zivav/svgalib
it includes improved rage and et6000 drivers, as well as support for
new modes defined by the program. I have not yet documented the
additional three functions (vga_addtiming, vga_addmode and
vga_guesstiming), but there is a demonstration program. I still intend
to add a few functions to give the program more access to the timing
mechanism (to eventually be able to have a program similiar to xvidtune
for svgalib).
There are still a few drivers (ali, ark, ati, egadrv, et3000, et4000,
gvga6400, oak, paradise, s3, tvga8900) that I changed for svgalib-1.4.0,
but could not test so I don't know if they work. Please if you use any
of them, test and report.
I want to fix the problem of wrong autodetection:
et4000.c detects an et4000 card when used with an Macronix 86251, or an
ET6000 card.
oak detects an Oak card when used with some Matrox cards.
Please contact me if you have an oak card, an et4000 card or a Matrox
card that is autodetected as an oak.
