Any modern card which is supported will probably be able to support any
color depth an resolution that your monitor can.
You can choose between nVidia (only up to GeForce known to work), 3dfx
(only up to Voodoo3 known to work), SiS 6326, i740, Ati rage (not 128).

Does the problem happen if you don't use the seteventhandler function?
What is the type of the mouse you use?
