Hi,
Without referring to your specific questions, I'd like to point out that
the acceleration functions in svgalib were unchanged in the last four
years, and the only drivers that support acceleration are mach32, chips,
cirrus and ark.
This means that when using the acceleration, you are pretty much on your
own, and the program will not work on most video cards.
